Anyone who’s known me for more than 5 minutes knows I am a self-confessed travel addict with an insatiable curiosity for the world we live in. My husband sometimes says if there’s a train leaving for hell I’d probably get on it.
I was raised as an AirForce brat in the era of the Leyland Brothers – so I blame my parents ! Seriously though, I had a great childhood exploring many nooks and crannies around Australia. Perhaps a few too many schools but lots of great memories.
Now, with a family of my own, I felt it important to expose my kids not just to the amazing country we live in but to the fascinating countries and cultures around the world, and luckily I have married a man who tends to agree with me. As a family we have explored so many places and there have been lots of special moments traveling with my husband, with friends, or extended family and even on my own, and I don’t see the pace slowing up any time soon.
I’ve traveled to over 40 countries & have actively been in travel groups and communities for a long time picking up tips and tricks and sharing tales along the way, and hopefully this will be a way to pass on some of that knowledge and perhaps gain a bit more.
There are squillions of travel blogs written by beautiful young things around the globe but few seem to cater to the needs and interests of people with a bit of grey hair and perhaps a few hot flushes, so after many years of hearing ” you should start a travel ” blog – here it is…..
thanks so much for your support, Sandy
